Emma Mendoza

Clinical Research Coordinator
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Emma joined the CSL as a clinical research coordinator in the fall of 2025 after earning her B.S. in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. During her undergraduate studies, she investigated the molecular pathways underlying Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) pathology. While her research interests are diverse, she is particularly interested in the molecular mechanisms involved in neurodevelopmental, mood, and substance use disorders and their implications for therapeutic discovery. Emma aspires to become a physician dedicated to advancing global health and improving access to equitable healthcare in underdeveloped regions and underserved communities. Beyond the lab, she enjoys spending time with her cat, practicing yoga, watching movies, and exploring different topics that feed her curiosity, from science to history and the humanities.
